Honu Hitch-Hiker has many places that he wants to visit. He doesn't care where he goes, as long as he goes. He is interested in "hitching" rides to as many caches as he can. He would like to visit with cachers from all over the world and then he would like to get moving along to find his next adventure. Photos are always nice and much appreciated to receive back home.
Honu is the Hawaiian word for Turtle. This little guy is an aluminum Honu hitch cover for our geo-mobile. While out caching in the desert recently, following a maniac around trying to find some caches, honu was accidently removed from our hitch, while trying to navigate our way through a ditch! OUCH!!! While we thought we could repair him and put him back in his place of honor, he was beyond repair, so he is now our latest and greatest travel bug. His tag is riveted on his back as well as his name and owners name. Please share his bug number: TBNC95 when recording in logs, not his bug ID number. We have had several bugs stolen from cachers logging in the wrong number! Thanks for your help with Honu!

VERY awesome travel bug, this was one of the highlights of our trip to Puerto Rico. Sorry we've taken so long to log it, but we're going to wait to place it somewhere new for when we go out to Europe this summer. I'll be tracking this cool travel bug for a long time. The cache was a hard cache to find too, I think we were the first to find it, and some people living near the cache thought we were crazy looking around for it near the trashcans, but we persisted and found it. Good Cache and awesome travel bug.

Great TB, very big and heavy! Retrieved from Black Tower Cache. I was expecting to change the container but the logbook didn't fit. This TB looks like a Carey (sea-turtle) that we can see putting eggs on some beaches in Puerto Rico. This turtle is one in danger of extinction. Well Big Honu Hitch-Hiker will be putting some eggs on some Puerto Rico Beach. You can a photo of this TB leaving the Black Tower on http://www.geocofresi.com/Cache15.html Geocofresi.com

Dropped Honu off in Puerto Rico in a very new cache that contained a bunch of dinosaurs to keep it company until someone retrieves it.

I will take Honu to Puerto Rico so he can play with some of his Tortuga cousins, and hopefully find a cache he can rest in for a short time.
