This new coin was recently introduced in a day and night version. They are very nice, so decided to keep the orginals and send out scanned copies.
The Chincoteague ponies, which gained fame from the book 'Misty of Chincoteague' freely roam the Eastern Shore of Virginia. A small heard is rounded up each July and sold at auction to support the local volunteer fire department. The unsold ponies are returned to the heard, to continue the bloodline.
