This Travel Tag is sent out in honor of my mother, Dorothy, who is a survivor! I hope that everyone out there encourages their loved ones to get regular check-ups to identify potential problems early while they can be treated.
I want to explain the significance of the Tweety Bird.
Mom and I had a running game going with the tweety bird clip for many years. I used to hide it under her pillow and in her dresser when I was younger and took great pleasure in having her freak out when she found it. Over the last 25 years it has gone from house-to-house and has become an item that is often exchanged during Christmas and Birthdays. A picture of the original tweety bird clip is in the photo album. It is in pretty poor condition.
Mom gave me a stack of Tweety's for Christmas in 2009. This Tweety attached to the travel bug was part of the gift. I thought it would be fitting to send it out in her honor.
