Current Goal

No particular distance goals, but it might be fun to keep a running log of the different birds that are seen (or heard) as this TB migrates from cache to cache!

Sort of a "random avain inventory" eh?!

About This Item

In April the Red-winged Blackbirds are making a big racket as they stake their out their territory and build their nests for another season. They're one of my favorite birds, and I have seen them lately in my travels, in both city and field.

Agelaius is the Latin (genus) name for this bird, and I thought it would be a fitting name for a Travel Bug as it starts to journey far and wide from home!

When I grabbed this I didn't realize that I was the one that had placed it here. Actually, I didn't, I placed it in this caches predicessor. The cache has been moved and placed in a new container. It wasn't until I got home and I checked the number did I realize I had already done this one.

I made the appropriate log entries to move it to the new cache and then retreive it. I'll move it along shortly.

Grabbed this bug from the Pez Cache in Bothell. I was somewhat surprised to see the bug traveling around without a hitchhiker.
