Current Goal

Travel around to all the best ports, beaches and harbors that a man could love. Would like to "catch" as many big ones as possible! Would love to go crabbing or salmon fishing up in Alaska. Named after - yep - the food ;o)

Gorton the Fisherman

I found this guy in a cache on the island in Detroit Lake. He looked like he needed to travel around, and he reminded me of the fish stick commercials, so I aptly named him after that brand.

Well, this is embarrassing... So I'm turning my SUV upside-down to be sure I have everything out of it before I sold it, and I found your travel bug. So sorry. I must have grabbed it from The Kal-Haven Gold when we found it on 1/07/12 and then misplaced it in the truck and forgot about it before I got home and logged our finds for the day. We were heading back out to South Haven today, so I made it a point to stop and grab a cache that it would fit in. So it is back in play. Again, very sorry for the late log.

I've been taking Gorton with me on my caching trips for a while now. I didn't like the replacement bug (globe) that I originally found. The whole southern hemisphere kept falling off. So, I decided to replace it with something more similar to the original bug (picture frame).

I was finally able to implement my plan. I am posting a couple pictures of the new Gorton. I hope you like it.
