Under orders from the Klingon High Command, the "Klingon Global Benchmarker" is being sent out into the world with one singular purpose ... to explore and gather as much information from around the globe of what humans call .... "Earth" as possible.
To do this, we need you to help us in sending this geocoin to the various countries and continents as scattered across your planet ... making sure to visit points of interest and landmarks of interest.
Document its journey by posting images and detailed descriptions of its adventures, your adventures and those places where it has been hidden and found.
QAPLA' !!!
First off ... this is an original geocoin and not a copy!
Please please .... keep it moving and on mission so others have the chance to discover and assist it. :)
--- From CoinsandPins.com ---
The GEOCAC coin was designed by GEO*Trailblazer 1. He has undergone tireless work to get this project running by working and coordinating with the Missouri state surveyors. There is even a little bit of a race between Missouri and Kansas to see who will set the first disk. The Missouri benchmark is projected to be set near the Joplin area, and the Kansas disk is to be set near Meads Ranch (the geodetic center of the United States). Other states will soon follow with some already starting their planning process. In addition, there are geocaching events projected to be held at each setting commemorating these momentous occasions.
Each benchmark will have the official name GEOCAC. Once the actual benchmark disks are set, you will be able to do a search in the National Geodetic Survey database and retrieve their coordinates. Plans are being made to have some of these locations established as geocaches, and of course they will be added to Waymarking.com by the waymarking community.
The front of this coin is a representation of the actual benchmark disks. It shows the name of the benchmark and the Geocaching logo. The back shows surveyors from the early 1900s traversing the top of a mountain to set a benchmark disk. This coin is a large 2.25" in diameter and 4mm thick complete with a domed shaped front just like a real benchmark disk.
