Coin Club GeoCoin - SATO


This GeoCoin has been specially imported for the benefit of GeoCachers in the UK, especially the North East. We understand that these coins are often perceived as collectable, but please do not keep him as it spoils it for other cachers.

The rules of the game are up to the individual, but we feel swapping tracking numbers by email to get the logo isn't really part of caching, so we'd prefer it if you'd only log our coins if you've actually seen them in person.

"SATO" is an abreviation for "Selective Availability Turned Off", since this coin commemorates the day the GPS signal degradation called Select Availabilty (SA) was removed by the Clinton Administration on 1st May 2000.

Met up with one half of Bean & Sprout and collected this lovely coin from her to take on my travels. Will be visiting Weymouth next weekend and then York two weeks after that, so I am sure we can move it along a bit more and leave it somewhere nice.
