This dragon would like to be in the clouds above Mount Umei, one of China’s sacred mountains.

About This Item

Mount Umei is located in South West China. The largest city nearby is Kunming. Geo-caches are just beginning to appear in China, so a fly-by of Mount Umei is an acceptable goal. But if a geo-cache should appear on the top of Mount Umei, “Umei Seeking Dragon” would like to nestle in there for a time.

Umei Seeking Dragon has a brother, “Tai Seeking Dragon,” hopefully headed for Mount Tai in North East China. Wouldn’t it be a delightful fate for them to meet again, after they have found their respective sacred mountains?

    Dropped the bug a little closer to Umei. It is in Taipei 101 currently the worlds tallest building at 508 meters tall. this passes up the Petronus Towers located in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia which is 452 meters tall. The Sears Tower is 443 meters and the Empires state building is 381 meters. This record may soon be broken as another building is scheduled to be completed in 2005

    Flew down the coast from Tokyo past Numing then turned in over Da Nang and into Bangkok for the Chinese New Year. Hope that's close enough for your clouds wish. I'll find a home in the Bangkok area sometime in the coming week. That puts it directly south of the Mnt. Unmei destination.

    I'll be happy to grant your wish for a fly-by of Mount Umei later this week and try to plant close to the railroad station in Bangkok hoping someone can pick it up on their way north to Chaing Mai. Not bad progress for a week in the wild eh?
