OMG, I got screwed on both ends of this trip with canceled flights causing overnight layovers! All in all, 3 days, 3 states, 3 caches... when there was only supposed to be 1. I thought I would have been smart to drive all the way to Minneapolis to catch the sure thing flight because Cedar Rapids was guaranteed to be canceled, but NO! I just HAD to do the morning meeting when I should have RUN! Damn, at least I got home super early Saturday morning and didn't miss the Walk Off The Earth concert!

After a harrowing extended journey through a crazy snowstorm, I needed to grab a quick cache before work. I've been thinking about this cache ever since my DNF 2 months ago and how I could have possibly overlooked it. Well, today I blindly tried again, but was successful spotting the elusive ammo can disguised as a Marshall amplifier! So cool and the locking container at volume 11 setting! It was a miracle I could find this container amongst the thousands of other antique items in this abandoned shop.

Well, I haven't had this airline misfortune for about 30 years! Flew half way to Iowa and turned back because weather was too bad to land. Delayed, delayed, delayed, canceled, sleepover, try again tomorrow! I think da Bush Girl still wins with the worst airport horror story, but I'm getting closer! Never ate all 3 daily meals in the same lounge before, that's a first nobody can be proud of. LOL

Unbelievable & strange weather this year, still no snow. It felt weird to go on a bike ride on New Years Eve. Anyway brain21 & I had a great time with the new dog geo-art and getting some exercise today. And one last push to get our caching numbers up for the year since we've been slacking off alot lately. brain21 did pretty good on the bike considering he hasn't ridden one in 30+ years!

Beautiful winter day for a 5-hour hike in my chest-waders! I was working on a challenge and needed some tough D/T's and this seemed to be the perfect spot for them. I was concerned at first I'd be cold, but the waders insulated pretty nicely, in fact I was sweating in them! It was pretty exhausting to hike upstream in waders and harder to climb up hills, but climbing trees as well was really pushing my luck! I may have overdone it, actually.

Back to Cedar Rapids... again! Pretty cool abandoned antique shop. I didn't find the cache (there was so much crap in there!), but it was pretty cool to visit. I'll have to come back again next time.
