Current Goal

My old goal was to beat my companion Flipper the Dolphin (TBA6D) in a race from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean and back to where we started.  I am big and fat while Flipper is quick and agile.. Slow and steady wins the race so I think I will win. Update: 1/17/06: Shamu won. See below for my new goal.

Hi I'm Shamu!


 

Shamu the Whale and Flipper the Dolphin were both released together in the ALPHA cache on 1/5/02. They both went swimming together at the Huntington Beach Pier, in Huntington Beach California, and decided to race to the Atlantic and back to see who would win. Shamu has made it to the east coast and is now working his way back West. Will you help Shamu complete his journey?

Update: 1/17/06 - Shamu has won the race! During his journey he traveled 7370 miles. Shamu is now resting and waiting for Flipper to return. Thank you to everyone who has helped Shamu along the way!

Ok, I didn't grab this one from Ipuous, but it was in a cache that I found today. I guess he forgot to log the drop. I'll pass this along. I won't be going west anytime soon, so maybe someone else can get this thing back to CA. This has been a long journey for this guy... a shame he's still stuck in Texas.
