Current Goal

A true Navigator, the goal of ALTAIR is to tour the World visiting as many caches as possible along the way. I'd like to see him get up to Alaska and down into the Islands of the Carribean, (Korea, Russia, China, The Orient?) and then come home again to Pittsburgh. Please log any interesting stories of its epic journeys.

About This Item

Altair on the Road

The bug is a 2" diameter metallic casting - a rendition of a compass rose. Didn't have a digital camera, so if a finder can supply a photo, This bug would be very appreciative.

We couldn't resist interrupting the planning of our Alaka Adventure (which includes hiking the Chilkoot Trail) to go and pick up Altair. We plan to leave him in Juneau when we get there this summer.

Rescued ALTAIR today from a multi-cache near the Spokane River. I figured he just might be spending the winter up there if someone didn't come and save him since this cache took us about 8 hours to find over 2 Saturdays! Will be thinking about a new home to help send him on his journey...
