About This Item

75 years of Cub Scout Coin

Scouting has always been a major part of my life. Since being introduced to scouting in second grade, I have never left.

This year marked my 29th year in Scouting. What makes it even more special is this is my oldest son's first year in Cub Scouting.

Here are some of my Scouting high lights:

4 years as a Cub Scout

7 years as a Boy Scout

19 years as a Boy Scout Leader (earn Eagle Scout Rank)

1 year as my son's Tiger Den Leader.

We will take to Winter Camp in January.

  • Winter Camp We took geocoin to Winter Camp in Dundee, Wisconsin.
We slept out Saturday night for our Polar Bear.
  • Coin at Winter Camp We could have used more snow at Winter Camp but it was still a nice weekend. Boy Scouts were able to split some wood.

Picked this up this evening and we're hoping to hand it off to a caching friend who is going to scout camp this weekend. If the hand-off doesn't happen, we'll drop it in a new cache soon.

I was in cub scouts and webelos a little over 30 years ago (wow, that makes me feel old, now!) Didn't manage to go on beyond that, unfortunately. We were relocating a lot during the years "3" would have been a cub scout (4 states in just over 5 years at one point), so he never became a scout. Perhaps "plus1" will be a scout... but we've got a few years before that'll happen! In any case, cool TB, and we'll try to move it along on it's mission.

Lost Boyscout handed this very special coin to me while I was visiting with him on Independence Day. My scouting career is very similar to his.
4 years as Cub Scout/Webelos
7 years as Boyscout (earned Eagle Scout)
19 years as Boyscout Leader (Scoutmaster, Ass't Scoutmaster, Committee Member)
7 years as a Cubscout leader (Cubmaster, Ass't Cubmaster, Den Leader, Ass't Den Leader)

The Cub Scout program was a great time for me and my two son's.
