First day of Spring! Happy Caching! I had a short layover in YYC (Calgary, BC), not the long layover downtown. -1 C this morning, but I had time to take a 4 mile walk around the hotel/airport to find 2 caches. I love visiting this city and the great caching.

Night 2 of this 4-day in MJT (Montrose, CO) It is located on the Western side of CO. Telluride and Crested Butte are the two closest ski resorts. I flew here via MSY-EWR-MJT. Got out for a great 5.7 miles walk and 6 finds. Night 3 is in MID (Merida, Mexico) Unfortunately I will not be able to get out and geocache there.

Spending night 1 of a 4-day trip in MSY (New Orleans, LA). Medium length layover allowed me to get out and enjoy the great weather. 7.5 miles walk around the area. 6 finds and a handful I was not able for one reason or another. Visited a nice park with a great bird sanctuary. An area I would never have experienced if it wasn't for geocaching. Off to Colorado tomorrow.

Back at it like I remember it! I cached yesterday in PHL, but traveled back to IAH before heading up to BWI for a 31-hr layover in downtown BWI (Baltimore, MD) near the Inner Harbor. Great Spring weather on a Saturday morning caused a lot of muggles to be out. 6 hour walk around the area, 10 finds, 3 DNFs (mostly caused by extreme muggle traffic). This was also my fist major geocache trip using only the Geocaching app for the iPhone along with my Garmin 76CSX. I did bring along a overview map of the caches in the area so I could best plan out the caching adventure. The iPhone worked great for accessing the cache descriptions, logs and hints. There is also the ability to log finds right from the iPhone, but that would be a little too much typing while out and about. The Inner Harbor was beautiful and great for walking/caching. Have to get up really early Sunday morning for a flight back to IAH. Also, lose that hour of daylight savings time. (making the East coast wake-up even earlier) I have posted a picture overlooking the harbor. Talk to you on our next adventure.

Medium length layover in PHL. Took a short 3 miles walk from the PHL airport hotel I was staying to find 2 caches. Despite last weeks snow storm on the East Coast, the Spring weather is coming. I'm looking forward to a lot more caching to come... (fun caching day planned for tomorrow in downtown BWI)
