How very appropriate!!

I have a bit of a back issue I need to recover from as they had fun exploring my back on March 24th 2011:
Lumbar Laminectomy - multiple vertebrae
Lumbar Diskectomy - multiple vertebrae
Lumbar Fusion - fusing L3-L4-L5

On June 2nd they reopened the back to remove the hardware from the right side of the vertebrae as it was determined two of the three screws were going into the spinal column and nerves and not remaining in the bone. (That did explain the extreme pain)..

Since then I have done as much walking as I can to try to regain the use of my legs. Some days are better than others, but all in all, I will heal. Good friends, loving family and a positive attitude is the only thing keeping me moving.

I was very happy to see this TB. We love TB's and this one screamed at us to be taken for a journey or two...

Mahalo and Aloha

  • my hardware from the right side L3-L5
  • ShadowAce Recovering
  • I am sure the Owner can make more sense of this..
  • ain't she purdy? This was the second incision. Removing half the hardware. Appears it is bad to have the bolts going into the nerve column.
  • comparing bolts
  • things wrong.. (Partial list)

This seemed an appropriate TB for us to take as Mr. Hui just fractured two vertebrae in his neck - geocaching of course! He's recovering and hopes to be back on the trails soon. Will move this on as soon as possible.
