Relay for Life. I Walked...

I walked around a track today...
I walked to help a disease go away.

I walked because there is a need.
I walked that bodies could be freed.

I walked to give a small child hope...
I walked to help someone cope.

I walked for a husband or a wife.
I walked to give someone life.

I walked with my head held high...
I walked for that one about to die.

I walked excitedly not demure.
I walked to help find a cure.

I walked for everyone to see...
I walked for You...I walked for Me.


CANCER IS SO LIMITED

It cannot cripple LOVE
It cannot shatter HOPE
It cannot corrode FAITH
It cannot take away PEACE
It cannot destroy CONFIDENCE
It cannot kill FRIENDSHIP
It cannot suppress MEMORIES
It cannot silence COURAGE
It cannot invade the SOUL
It cannot conquer the SPIRIT
Cancer is so VERY limited!!!

My story, feel free to email me yours. Diagnosed 2003, stage IIIc Ovarian Cancer. Surgery, (removal of tumor) Chemo for six months. Survived in 2004. Diagnosed Oct. 2006 recurrent Ovarian cancer, started chemo in Nov. 2006, and currently taking treatments. I am surviving STILL.!! The "statistics" say I had a VERY low chance of survival for five years....I'm lookin at Five Years BABY!!!! I dont' plan on deathing any time soon, caching yes deathing No No. I plan on staying around a long time to make my husband miserable....LOL Yes I have lost my hair more than once, and ya know what it is very er uh Liberating yes that is it. You hair does change when it grows back in, so no need to contact myth busters!! I am living proof. :) I have lost friends to Ovarian cancer, I have friends Fighting ovarian cancer, and I lost my Daddy to Lung Cancer just Last year on July 7th 2006. Much respect to those we lost before the CURE. Ask me how many organs you can live without that reside in your body....LOL sheesh New weight loss program, surgery and chemo. :) I want this to be a Happy Little shoe that brings Happy little moments to your life. Hope it never starts to stink?? ack...It will ONLY fit ONE Princess!!! So Here's to the FIGHT, Here's to SURVIVAL, Here's to finding the CURE, and Here's to the LOVED ONES we miss so much. Once Cancer touches you ....YOU Never forget it. It is not only a disease of the body, it effects your mind too...you see things just a little differently than Ever before. Time is precious, and LAUGHING is a MUST!!! I'd rather live in a cardboard box and be happy than in a mansion and be miserable. LOVE to ALL (cancerous or not) he he he
