Current Goal

Bob wants to see the world. He is a lovable, intelligent, little moose who likes people. He eats a lot of junk food (just like children.) Feed him well. He likes to read about interesting places that he can someday visit. Thus his favorite subject is reading.

About This Item

Bob, the little brown Moose, is the travel bug of the KoolKids. (The fourth grade students of CtK School.)

Hi Bob,
The Valley of the Fire State Park looks like a rather hot place to be in right now. I saw the pictures of the petroglyphs. They look like the ones that are in Sanilac County, near our school. Prety amazing! drawings.
The KoolKids have been practicing for a musical they will be presenting to the school body and their parents in May. (They didn't give me a part. Even though I wanted to be in the musical. Maybe, next year.)
It is getting warmer here too, but probably not like the type of weather you are having. Going to California! That will be fun and exciting! Can't wait to hear about your travels there.
Good-bye for now, your friend,
Fuzzy Wendall Wumpkins

Fuzzy,

Hey guess what! I've been to the California Gold Fields. I went to Columbia State Historic Park and I got to pan some gold. I'm sending you some pictures, one with me with a great big gold nuggett. It is worth lot's of money. I got to see some neat old buildings too. If you get teacher to go to www.ColumbiaCalifornia.com you can see some more things they have there.

After that I went to a nearby town, Murphys, CA, it is an old mining town too. It isn't a park but the people have kept the town a lot like it was when they were mining gold here.

I am going to Oregon next, I'll write again when I get there.

Hi Fuzzy,

I have new travel companions now. Thumper and Bambi invited me to ride around with them for a while. I am on my way to see the Valley of Fire, a Nevada State park, it is really neat here. There are lots of red rocks and some yellow ones. Some of the red rocks have a black varnish on them and the indians liked to draw pictures on them. Thumper said the pictures were called petroglyphs. He said he would send you some pictures from there.

Next we are going to California, I'll write again from there.

Dear Bob,
You sure have been having fun on this travel bug tour. You saw the ocean, now Las Vegas, Lake Mead, lots of wonderful places. I know you are probably a little sad that you are leaving the tour, and going your separate way, but you'll meet up with someone else who will take you places far and wide. What stories you can tell them! (and us)
Isquaba and Nawty were very nice people. You'll stay friends forever.
Keep us informed, little friend, of your next traveling adventure. Bye-Bye for now, your friend Fuzzy

We were on the way to Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam when we ran into another geoteam. They are planning to visit some really neat places so Isquba and Nawty let me join them.
