Current Goal

Bob wants to see the world. He is a lovable, intelligent, little moose who likes people. He eats a lot of junk food (just like children.) Feed him well. He likes to read about interesting places that he can someday visit. Thus his favorite subject is reading.

Hi Bob,
Fuzzy Wumpkins here. Just checking in to see how you are. The summer is going by quickly for us travel bugs that stay with LucyLee (me and Maggie, the sister of Molly.)
Lucy takes us with her sometimes when she caches. I think it is my turn to go with her on Thursday. Have you been to any more exciting place? Your mini coin has traveled some 5000 miles already. Not as much as you though.
Weather rather warm lately. I have been spending time near the river in town. Cooler there.
You keep enjoying your travels and report back to us soon on where you are going next.
Your friend,
Fuzzy Wendall Wumpkins

This log was a mistake I still have him in my hot little hands and will find a nice place in the forest for him to spend some time.

Hi Bob,
It sure seems like you have been traveling to many places in the western part of the United States. You even made it to the site of where geocaching first began. The children thought this was very exciting to see that you made it to this site---the original stash!!!
Our school year is coming to an end on Wednesday. The children will be starting their summer vacation on Thursday. I will be going home with the teacher in order for me to go caching with her this summer.
Keep the teacher informed of your travels. I and the children will want to know where you are come fall when the schoolyear begins again.
Have fun caching.
Your friend,
Fuzzy
PS Your geocoin is really traveling around the southwest.

Hi Fuzzy,

I forgot to write you when I was in Oregon and tell you about my adventures.

I went to the very first cache site that was place near Estacada, Oregon. You can see my picture there with the plaque for the Original Stash, it was placed there in May 3, 2000. I didn't know that this was such a new sport.

This has been really exciting, learning so much new stuff and seeing so much scenery. I went to places that I didn't get my picture taken.

I saw Battery Point Light House in Crescent, California. I went to the Rose Gardens in Portland, Oregon. I went to the Evergreen Airport museum in McMinnville, OR and saw the Spruce Goose, the largest wooden plane with the longest wingspan ever constructed. I did get my picture taken with Bob the tour guide at the entry door to the Spruce Goose.

Bye for now,

Bob, the Moose

Hi Bob,
Sure sounds and looks like you had fun finding that gold. Did you get to keeep it? (The KoolKids wanted to know.) The apples? Eat any apple pie? That makes our mouths water.
Oregon. You sure have been travelling. Where are headed for next? We looked on a map to see where you are now. You are learning about many different, and exciting places. We miss you. But we want you to enjoy your travels.
Everyone says, "Hi, Bob. Have fun!"

Retrieve It from a Cache 4/22/2006 OKThumper retrieved it from Haines Apple Tree Oregon   Visit Log

Fuzzy,

I am in Oregon now, a town called Merlin. We went geocaching yesterday and saw this really old apple tree. It was all twisted and looked really strange, but it was still in bloom. The people we are visiting with said they still get to eat apples from this tree.

It was planted by the first settler to come here, he didn't get to eat many of the apples though because he was killed in and indian fight.

It was nice that he planted the tree though because people still get to see the tree, smell it blossoms and eat it's fruit. Maybe when I get back we can plant a tree and other people will get to enjoy it a long time from now.

Talk to you soon,

Bob
