We started at the bottom of the valley right next to the Abbey, went over a little bridge across the river and climbed up a lot of steps to the path. As we walked along the side of the valley we could see the ruins of the Abbey peeking out from the trees.
Then we passed by fields of sheep until finally disappearing into woods. We could see all the way down through the shadowy trees to the river and heard it splashing over rocks.
We walked back through a farmyard past lots of big machinery down the long, steep steps and over the river to the Abbey.
