Waypointing my Columbia travel bug on this date. On 6/20/2015, I was returning to California from a 3500 mile caching road trip of Nevada and Utah, and I had the 2003 Columbia shuttle TB in the car. Previously used the former GC338F Ma Greens General Store virt http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC338F_ma-greens-general-store-formerly?guid=7c9e229c-ec42-4ce8-a818-1d9e6dad6973 to waypoint for Edwards AFB, but it is archived and locked. Link for GC338F and 2009 Edwards air show http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=40820e6b-37e4-44e0-9f6a-253c544c5648 .

Columbia has landed home!!! The odometer says 8500 miles, and the chronometer says 3 years and 5 days. She did not place, in the 2003 Canonball Run. Shuttle manager notes that Columbia sufferred major structural damage, with the loss of the tail. She still continued flying.

Thanks one and all for the shuttle guidance, and a final thanks to SnoWake for the final approach and landing.

Mission complete.

Columbia made a couple orbits with me between the bay area and Tahoe, before finally touching down in Redwood Shores. Hopefully Ben can get here and recover the shuttle...

Hey, didn't realize this was one of Ben's bugs when I grabbed it. Looks like I can help Columbia complete her journey home... just need to find the right landing strip.
