Current Goal

This Travel Bug is part of a two-way race between Texas and the UK. My objective is to reach Miss Pumpkin's O-Cache II in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. before the other contenders Travel Bug reaches our cache in the UK.

The other contender in this race is Webling's travel bug The Texas Spoon II Racing Bug, which is trying to get to Winchester in the UK. Don't forget to put a watch on both bugs if you want to be kept informed about the progress of the race.

About This Item

Britania Bear

Britania Bear is so named because he is a 'Yeoman Guard' otherwise known as a 'Beefeater'. No, this title has nothing to do with McDonalds or any other food.

It is the duty of a Yeoman Guard to protect the Queen and the Tower of London where the Crown Jewels are kept. Problem is, being little more than 3 inches tall and not very scary, this chap cannot do a very good job, so he is retiring to the sunnier climate of Texas.

If only I had been able to pick this up one or two weeks ago. I've been to Winchester twice in the past 10 days! Oh well. I'll move it Eastwards a bit more and hope the bear can make it back to Winchester soon.
