WOW - what a trip it was to get to this cache. We were kayaking in Lake Jessup, a gator infested lake in Seminole County, FL. Jennifer was in my yak with me, Sally and Lee were in another double, Aaron and Pat Arnold and Will (ZStatman) in their own single yaks. It was a beautiful morning for a paddle and we found all three of the caches we were looking for. On the way back to the launch, Jennifer and I stopped so that I could climb a lovely Cypress tree.

Went for a 7.5 mile hike with Jennifer in Sabal Point Wildlife Sanctuary on this wonderful Friday, the 13th and decided that my little 10/10/10 coin needed to come along to look for bears!! We didn't see any bears, but it was a wonderful hike.

Always like to "Visit" caches while traveling with my favorite little 10/10/10 geocoin. It will never be released in to the wild, so when I travel about, it goes with me. On a nice little cruise with Michael, MF, Matthew and Anna and we were able to do a little caching in each port.

Another great Kleetus cache that I just HAD to visit with my 10/10/10 geocoin. Skeletor and I spent the whole day out caching in the Chuluota Wilderness Area and the Charles H. Bronson State Forest. We put 10.5 miles under our belts and grabbed 10 caches. Any day spent tromping around the woods in a good day in my book!!!

WOW - what a wonderful day, tromping around in the woods with Kleetus and Skeletor. NrthrnHeart and LizardSally were supposed to come along as well, but they both had to bail out at the last minute. We walked nearly 7.5 miles, along the Florida Trail. Took off our boots, rolled up our pants and walked across the Econalockahatchee River twice (okay, so it was only mid-calf deep, but still). Got two FIVE Terrain caches WITHOUT a boat (see, I told you the water was REALLY low) and I got to climb up a tree to retrieve an ammo can at "Return of Cow Thingy". The day just couldn't have been any better 😉

Made the trip over to Punta Gorda to visit with Laurie Roshfeld and spent Friday, 23rd, helping her clean out her mom's house. We threw out sooooooo much stuff and boxed up tons of school supplies, and other stuff, to donate to various local organizations. We looked for this cache on Friday night, but it was too dark to find it. After a WONDERFUL breakfast at "Pies and Plates", we came back by here to grab the smile. I dropped five Travel Bugs that I've been carrying around for far too long and thought my 10/10/10 coin needed to visit a new county!!!

Spent the morning out in the woods today with Kleetus, NrthrnHeart, Skeletor and LizardSally going after five Kleetus caches. He needed to do some maintenance and invited us all along. They were mostly pretty high terrain ratings and I know I'd have never gotten Sarah to come out in the woods with JUST me. This cache was a 5 Terrain, but we had no kayak to assist in making the grab. After studying maps, we decided we could do this without a boat AND be able to stay dry 😉 We did it with no trouble - helps that we haven't had rain in forever. Just wanted to visit this cache with my 10/10/10 coin because it was such an awesome cache and a great day overall.

This was find #1,600 for me so I decided that my 10/10/10 geocoin had to stop by for a visit... wish I'd taken a picture. Doesn't seem like nearly two years, but I still love this whole caching thing just as much today as I did when I first started. Looking forward to another 1,600 caches!!!

This was one of 26 caches we found today - but this one was a little special 🙂 After finding the cache, when heading back to the car, I stumbled (almost literally) upon this little snake. Actually, he was pretty damn big and he was a diamondback rattlesnake. After hearing a "Sssssssssssss" off to the side, I stopped to see WHAT was making the sound. Upon spotting the snake, I ran back to the car to get my camera, slowly and quietly approaching to try and get some some pictures. This is the first time I've seen a REAL snake while we've been out caching - seen plenty of black racers, but those aren't REAL snakes 😉

This was a FUN run out on the campus of UCF that I completed today with daughter, Nrthrnheart, and sister-in-law, MDAuntie1029. It's the first day of winter and we were caching in 82° sunshine. THAT is why I LOVE living in Florida. Found the seven caches leading up to the final so decided my little 10-10-10 coin needed to "visit" that final cache. I like it to see the sunshine now and again, and not always just sit in the bottom of my caching bag.
