The Vermont Voyageur's mission is to be placed in a geocache in all 50 states. It began its journey by participating in a travel bug race from Alaska to Vermont.

Vermont Voyageur

The Alaska to Vermont Travel Bug Race began in cache GCGCMH, "Clover Leaf", located in Anchorage, Alaska. All four bugs were dropped off on August 8, 2004 by "Bilder", the cache owner. The four bugs in the race are racing to cache GC546F, "Old Barn", located in Hinesburg, Vermont. Travel Bugs In The Race: "Vermont Voyageur" -- Cameron Douglas, Owner; "Simon" -- Rebecca Polewczak, Owner; "Lock of Destiny" -- Furrs (Otter and Lemur), Owners; "Happy Trails" -- vtblackdog, Owner.

2010 UPDATE 7/27/10: Summertime

TBDF1F "Lock of Destiny" -- Last seen on 11/7/2004 in Burns Park, North Little Rock, AR in the cache - Observe this point 2 (GCHW9Q)

TBC6B4 "Happy Trails" -- Last seen 4/6/2005 along the Towpath Trail in Ohio in the cache - Towpath Quest (GCG2VZ). The cache was muggled, then archived.

TBC540 "Simon" -- Last seen 8/8/2004 in Alaska. Simon is among the lost. Simon has been scratched by its owner from The Alaska to Vermont Travel Bug Race.

TB8200 "Vermont Voyageur" --Last seen in Kentucky.

As of this date, Vermont Voyageur has visited 22 states - Arkansas, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.

Thanks to thoughtful geocachers, Moosiegirl, Abbys Grammy and sis, who rescued Vermont Voyageur and put it back on its mission.
