About This Item

Alle Arten sind blutsaugende Ektoparasiten an Wirbeltieren, darunter auch dem Menschen. Viele Zeckenarten sind bedeutende Krankheitsüberträger. 2004 waren weltweit etwa 900 Zeckenarten bekannt.
