Well, well. What a fun travel bug assignment! Another Webelo leader and I took 11 boys to Silverton Fire Dept. and had so much fun exploring all their equpiment and dreaming of becoming firefighters. (me included) Silverton FD is nearly all volunteer. They have only 3 paid people, the rest are volunteers and the 2 firefighters in residence (a little known program that sounds perfect for a college student). They cover a huge area that includes woodlands, grasslands, city and suburbs. We did in fact thank them for their hard work, I think that's the reward they seek. All you picking up this bug in the future, DO THE ASSIGNMENT! It's so worth it! I'll try to place the thing in another cache soon. We have pictures, but not on a digicam.
