After browsing for caches to look for, we saw that a travel bug was in a cache that we were considering. After clicking the picture, We HAD to meet this fine TB. On our quest, we saw another cacher looking for the clue we had just found. The cry became HURRY, we have to beat them to SPARKY!!..

Needless to say we are very pleased to have him in our company. He has spent too much time in that box and needs to see the fine city of Ft. Collins Co.

Chief Sparky visited the City of Victorville''s Fire Department''s Museum today. This museum is dedicated to the preservation of Station No. 1, and the collectiona and display of firefighting equipment and memorabilia. It is also a depository for historic information of the Victorville Fire Department. Many artifacts date from the 1930''s and include two pieces of apparatus known to have been used in Victorville. The pictures that I will be posting are from this visit. The admission is free. For more information and hours call 760-955-5229.

Found Chief Sparky in an area that greatly needed fire help. On the way home we saw 3 different fire crews. The bush is very dry this year. It is sad to see a big burn area such as the Willow Fire of a few years ago. This fire was within a mile of our home. We greatly thank the firefighters who helped to keep watch over our homes, during this fire. We pray and hope that the fire season not be bad this year. Sparky is in our home in the foothills of the San Bernadino Mts. We hope that we can visit a fire station and get pictures of Sparky with some firefighters.

Picked up Chief Sparky and will find him a new home real soon. Will look for a location that needs a fire supression specialist's expertise as we begin the new 'fire season'.
