About This Item

The destinations of the Vikings

Reached goals of Thors Golden Hammer
Iceland  ---  Greenland  ---  Rhine  ---  Denmark

ENGLISH:
Thors Hammer (named Mjolnir) is the symbol for the belief of the Vikings and the Germanic Tribes to the old Gods. The most famous God is Thor. With his hammer, he is fighting against the evil Giants.
The Vikings attacked whole Europe in the Early Middle Age (793 til 1066). The beginning was the attack to the abbey Lindisfarn in England, Eastcoast.
The goals of THORS GOLDEN HAMMER are the same, which were attacked and/or conquered by the Vikings in the Middle Age. It should follow the longboats of the Vikings. So there are many goals. The first goal, which was reached, was Iceland.
The second should be Lindisfarn in England. N 55° 41.159 W 001° 48.519 For example the Cache GC1TF34

The Hammer is handmade by myself. It is out of brass. It was a lot of work, so please be careful!

Den Hammer habe ich selbst gemacht. Also bitte vorsichtig mit umgehen!

GERMAN:
N 55° 41.159 W 001° 48.519
