About This Item

Tibetanische Gebetsmühle

Souvenir from a trip together with YxZd into the highlands of Sichuan in China. Highlights were Jiu Zhai Gou and Huang Long, with the beautiful waters and water terraces between 3500m and 4100m altitude. The high plateau of the Ruo Er Gai grasslands at 3500m are throughoutly inhabited by Tbetians, spending their summer months in tents on the prairies, together with their yak. At the Yellow River, we met a Tibetian monastery. You find the prayer wheels everywhere, in all sizes, sometimes 5m high and 2m wide...

PS: The whole trip into the mountains was into a geocaching-free zone!

[maroon]Just back from China! And what a fantastic weather! KoolKath plays AFL in Kiama, so RockSandra and I had a stop grabbing some of the great photographs promised here. Warm day, so we had a swim. The water is so clear, haven't seen it since Jiu Zhai Guo! At the latter place, high up in the Sichuan mountains, I bought the Prayer Wheel, which I drop off here as a Travel Bug!

Always intended to stop at the Bombo heads to explore bouldering and rock climbing. The basalt pipes are gorgeous! Will be back soon! Danke, Wilbert67, TFTCM!

One note to the cache owner: Some rock came down when I replaced the container. The situation may not be very stable, would be good to take it on a leash!

[maroon]Mugglemania again, No Chance! It drove me crazy, at GZ, there was a family, daddy teaching his son to fish! Right at the bridge, maybe 1m away from the cache! Do you know, why I don't like fishing ! Because you need patience and wait for hours and hours!

Nice place, thanks for binging me out here!

[navy]Number one in Changchun! Took the flight from Peking, got picked up at the airport, fantastic japanese lunch in the hotel, and finally jumped into a taxi to come out - or in here! Haha, the taxi driver did not understand one word, I just popped him the gps under the nose and knew to say left and right in chinese - still can't spell it. Back to the hotel, my host mate did not like i left him alone as he was so worried i get lost! TFTCM!
