The goal is to go to Warren, PA and relive the memories of Geowoodstock 2011.
Original Coin:
Geocoin for Geowoodstock 2011. I bought it new off of ebay. It remains in my collection.
1st Proxy:
A color printed copy of the coin laminated onto a washer. Released April 2015. Missing September 2019.
2nd Proxy:
This 2021 release is 1 of 69 created. It consists of the original tracking code stamped on an aluminum dog tag, a laminated information card with the trackable name and QR code to make logging easier, a toy car devalued by drilling a hole through it, all held together by a wire and wire ferrule. Released out into the wild January 2021.
You can make your own travel bug just like this with the following supplies:
Info card: Microsoft Publisher, QR code generator website, 8.5x11" designer paper, a printer, laminated card sheets, a laminator, scissors, and a hole punch.
Travel tag: China aluminum dog tags, punch set, hammer.
Travel bug: A toy car from the thrift store, a drill bit, a drill press.
Clasp: Wire, wire end ferrel, vice grips.

Doing detective work on what happened to my coin since it was marked missing from an event.
"I believe someone did pick up your geocoin. I saw a log entry by cctraveler on GC6339R (the first logger and finder) that seems to be referencing the dropping of your coin. There are a few people who have visited that cache since then, though, so I don't know if one of them picked it up or if it is still in that cache or if it was muggled from there. You could try contacting cctraveler for further followup.

Helped Sammvin retrieve this one and discovered it at the event where she dropped it. (Catching up on old 'discover' logs).

This very nice proxy coin is still in good shape - and it's seen a lot of miles! Being only three months old, I've never been out of the state of California, so I'll probably drop it somewhere nearby soon.
