We took the TB to visit a man who has sampled hundreds of different kinds of beer. He donated a beer coaster from the Great Basin Brewing Co. in Reno-Sparks, NV to go into the TB's loot bag, and we added the cap from the bottle of Kalik Beer of the Bahamas that we drank. Kalik is a very light and hoppy-tasting beer.
We also have a friend who has begun to brew his own beer, so we opened a bottle of batch #4, and donated the cap to the loot bag. Each batch of Broussard Beer is very different as he and his son experiment with recipes. Batch #4 was very dark and full-bodied, like a stout, but sweet rather than bitter. It didn't have much of a head, but we may have waited too long to open it.
We enjoyed both, and wish this TB fair travelling.
