About This Item

This TB honors America's oldest continously running amusement park, Lake Compounce. It started as a family owned picnic ground, but has expanded throughout the years. It has an historic Carousel and one of the fastest wooden Roller Coaster.

Lake Compounce is one of my favorite amusement parks. Although I grew up in CT, it was not until I brought my sister Barbara to the park that I experienced the Boulder-Dash. A wooden roller coaster zooming through the trees at high speed gave Barbara and I such an Adrenalin rush that our single day record was 15 times. Retrieving this traveler brought back many cherished memories. Thank You.
