OLENIK is a white tail deer who loves to visit state parks, national parks and nature preserves in all countries of the world. Please take him to caches in or near such locations, and don't leave him in urban caches where he is likely to be kidnapped. He much prefers the wild, rural areas where he is most likely to be found by experienced cachers who will know how to log his activities and move him along to a suitable cache.
OLENIK (pronounced o-lyéah-nik) is the diminuitive form of the Russian word for little deer. This trackable is a white tailed deer antler tip attached to a travel bug. Please log and record if you pick him up and move him on to a suitable location where cachers who know what to do with trackables will find him. Thanks.

The owner has set this Trackable as missing. Someone probably took this for his/her little rug rat as a playtoy. Probably already discarded or thrown away. Too bad there are so many people in this game who no longer show any respect for it.
Left you in the Horton Grove Nature Preserve, in a cache next to some beautiful prairie lands. Happy trails!
Found in Stone Soup, which is located in Eno River State Park, in Durham, NC. I never need an excuse to travel to a state park, but it will be nice to help this little bug along.
OLENIK has accompanied me for almost a year. I found this little deer antler in one of the first few geocaches i found as a newbie. I attached a tracking bug to it and "Little Deer" has been accompanying me ever since. It's time now to release him to the wild. Please take him to his favorite caches far away from urban environments—to state and national parks, to nature preserves and wild places. Please take him only if you know how to log a trackable and will move him to a new, safe cache soon.
