I would love to go to Australia and be there so my owner can track me down next December 2012
I was rescued at the gift shop of the Penguin Parade outside Melbourne Australia. Each night the living versions of me, emerge from the ocean waves in the dark and all the curious tourists watch us hobble up the beach to our awaiting and very hungry children.

GMelb was working at Simpson Barracks today and Old Pine was one of four caches found after an early finish. This was the last of the four and the most time consuming for reasons that will be explained. I arrived as dusk was approaching and after a short search in the obvious locations I could not see anything. I looked at the clue and checked a spot close to (but not at) where I had been looking and found the cache. I signed the log and found Petie the Penguin. It was then that the fun started.
I had intended to take Petie the Penguin to a new new home but Petie explained that he liked his home among the Pine and Clivia with its mountain aspect and views and he had no reason to want to leave. I explained to Petie that I was the cacher and he was the Penguin and that I would find him a nice new home (maybe somewhere Unexpected) where he would be sure to travel. Petie was unimpressed. By this time it was getting dark and I was anxious to be off so grabbed my things and left for the car which was 20m or so down the road. I got home and had tea and was sitting down to log the days caches when I realised that Petie was gone. WHAT A NAUGHTY PENGUIN. I imagined Petie being cold and alone in the dark or maybe worse - run off with some muggle. So I immediately got back in the car and drove the 12km out and prayed that Petie would still be there. When I arrived there was Petie sitting without a care in the world on the seat. I was extremely cross and threatened to place Petie up a tree at GZ of some difficult puzzle (Puella Abore) or at the end of some long multi (Time Waste series). Petie was rather more compliant after this and promised to come back with me. So after a two trips to this spot I and Petie are at home and I will send Petie on his way shortly to a nice new location. Thanks teampapadragon
