Current Goal

Vinnie is originally from Alberta, Canada and is finally getting homesick after trekking through Australia. He has successfully hitched a ride to Quebec and USA and his final destination is GC21B. Once arrived, he will take in some much needed rest and start a new trip.

Vinnie has never been to Australia and would like to go if someone is willing to take him. Vinnie has now travelled over 20,000 kilometers. Thanks very much to those who have helped so far. It's been 9 years since he left us !

Awesome and thanks. I would be super pleased to see the return of Vinnie to Alberta/Sylvan Lake or Edmonton region.

I sent this guy off on a voyage to AUS about 16 years ago. My wife wanted to give it away (it was a promotional item of some sort, probably for a pickle co. ) and I picked it up and said: "No way". I ended up starting up the 2nd oldest cache in Canada GCA6 and then shortly after, purchased a dog tag for the little guy.

When he (don't ask me how I know, I just do) returns, I'm planning some log entries and photo ops to celebrate his homecoming. And who knows, in the future maybe I'll re-trace his steps as a travel itinerary.

Yes if you can get it to Sylvan Lake, then Vinnie will be close to home. We can pick him up from a cache in Sylvan lake. If you can get him to Half Moon Slippery Rocks, which is one of our cache's then he will have a great ending to his journey.

I happen to be going to a Girl Guide camp next month to Sylvan Lake, Alberta. If I have time to pick Vinnie up after my trip to Texas, I'll drop him off a little closer to home!
