It is with a heavy heart I wanted to let all his friends know that Bear passed away this morning. He was surrounded with love. Paul and I held him while Dr, Amy lovingly gave him the greatest gift she could. The end to his struggling with heart failure. All of his nurses and techs and staff were there and everyone had a chance to say goodbye and tell Bear they loved him. Bear made 16 months in CHF, fighting it everyday to stay with us . Bear had a wonderful life, he loved his home here in the Poconos, he loved his second home in NY and he loved his vacation home of Cocoa Beach FL. Bear traveled the country with us for 6 years as a trucker dog with Mayflower Van Lines. He loved his truck. For the last two years as his health failed, he was happy to stay closer to home, taking small quieter vacations designed just for him. He went to Mount Washington to be on top of the world.He loved yachts in Marblehead. He enjoyed the sea at the cape. He was a geocacher. Right now there is a big hole in our hearts. I cannot imagine coming home to a house without him. Not waking up to him. Bear will be so very missed.
We are heartbroken to report that little Bear lost his long battle with Congestive Heart Failure October 14, 2016. We have decided tof keep his trackable going, now as a memorial to the Bear we loved so very much. Here is his obituary:
