Current Goal

My oldest son is a big soccer fan whose favorite international team is Germany. Because of this, the goal for this geocoin is to have its picture taken at football stadiums all around Europe and the world. Eventually I would like to see the coin travel around the world and back to Japan.

  • The mighty Ffostrasol Wanderers ground It comes as some surprise that there is a big enough flat area to place a football pitch in this part of Wales ;) That said the pitch does have a 5+ degree tilt to the far end.

Picked up this coin and I will attempt to get a picture of Madejski although being "out of season" it might only be of the outside :|

Perhaps I'll track it down again when the new season starts as it will give me a reason to go and see Scunthorpe United for the first time ever as they have been my club of choice since the 1970's when I was forced into choosing a team to support in the school playground. It was in Leeds and Liverpools hey day ... so being fairly contrary and not really into sports I asked who was at the bottom of the 4th division (Yes there were 4 divisions in those days children) only to be told it was Scunthorpe United. Thus started a lifelong bond (albeit a very weak one) to the Irons.
