In Boise, one of the most iconic buildings is the Idaho State Capitol building. Idaho officially became a state in 1890 and Boise has been the capital of Idaho since 1864, after it was transferred from Lewiston. The Idaho State Capitol Building began construction more than 50 years later, in 1905, and the building was not completed until 1920. 🥔

This might be the biggest cache container I have ever found!!! Have you ever seen one bigger? I think that NASA could probably see this from space. Fun find in the desert on the Southern border of Idaho.

Happy Halloween!! 🎃👻🧙🔪🩸
For this special holiday we are visiting the gravesite of Anna Shaw (October 16, 1892 – February 5, 1958) aka Lyda Southard, also known as Lyda Anna Mae Trueblood. She was Idaho’s first female serial killer. It was suspected that she had killed four of her husbands, a brother-in-law, and her daughter by using arsenic poisoning derived from flypaper in order to obtain life insurance money. 🪰🪦💵

Just a few miles from his gravesite in Sun Valley, Idaho is the Hemingway Memorial. A bronze bust and plaque can be found overlooking Trail Creek. It is a beautiful area so peaceful and calm. A fitting way to pay tribute.

Drove up to Ketchum, Idaho to visit the gravesite if one of my favorite authors. He wrote classics like The Sun Also Rises, For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Old Man and the Sea, and A Farewell to Arms. On a 1954 trip to Africa, he was seriously injured in two plane accidents on successive days, leaving him in pain and ill health for much of the rest of his life. On July 2, 1961, the Nobel Prize-winning author was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head at his home in Ketchum.
