Ever tried orienteering? Just hold a map in your hand and align it with a compass.
Now you have a compass, so let's try to find the next cache just with a map and the knowledge of north-east-south-west!
Orienteering is like a low-tech version of geocaching. But I have run across a relaxed orienteering event where some of them were looking for geocaches at the same time.
Origin of the term orienteering: face east (orient) and you will know that north is to the left, and south is to the right.
In western countries the compass is thought to point to the north, while in China the compass is called zhinan (the south direction pointer).
In your log, please describe your orienteering experience. And as the TB also has a thermometer, please write the temperature at the time you either retrieved this TB, visited a cache, or placed it in a cache.
