Current Goal

As a hitchhiker His goal is to ‘Go Bye’ where ever he can. He would like to travel by all different kinds of transportation to wherever the good geocache folks will take him.

About This Item

Elf at 10

ELF - 10/1/75 - 8/16/87

He was named for J.R.R.Tolkien’s Aragorn Elfstone (Strider) long before it was the “IN” thing to do. He was an avid adventurer and a ‘King’ in every sense of the word. Elf was always dignified and reserved with strangers, and a supreme judge of character. He was a most valued member of his family and the best of companions. -
For those of you who are wondering, surgery to remove a blood blister caused his once proud ear to droop, but the look in his eyes was eternal. -

Elf loved to ‘Go Bye’. He was a great traveler who was ready for any adventure no matter how long or short. Longer was better, but don’t hog the windows. He went to Canada and around the Northeastern U.S. He traveled by both car and boat. The boat was OK, but the dock was shaky at best. He also loved to take walks, and would have loved Geocaching. -

As a hitchhiker His goal is to ‘Go Bye’ where ever he can. He would like to travel by all different kinds of transportation to wherever the good geocache folks will take him. -

His spirit still lives in the hearts of his family, and it is in his memory that the Elfstone Crew takes its name.

Sorry for the delay, everything got terribly busy over the last couple of months.

Since I picked him up, he's driven to Exeter, flown to Leeds (BAe 146, if anyone's keeping track) and then driven around bits of yorkshire.

Will set him on his way in Harrogate this afternoon.

ELF will like it here on the moor--lots of sheep to chase, clean air, and truly beautiful surroundings. We wish him well in his first international adventure.
