This travelbug is a participant in a coast-to-coast race! Will you please help it move (quickly) one state to the east (the travelbug tag erroneously asks it be moved to the west: sorry about that)? Any help you provide is appreciated! Your efforts make you an important part of the team and allow you to share in the glories of our success!
Please do not take this travelbug unless you will be moving it quickly to a frequently-visited cache, within the rules listed on the contest website (http://www.ny-geocaching.org/cannonballrun/). This travelbug is in a race, so it is very important it move from state to state quickly.
Feel free to contact the travelbug owner with any questions you may have: we’d love to hear from you!
Thank you for helping this 2004 Cannonball Run participant move eastward quickly!

2004 Cannonball Run Basic Rules:
1) This travelbug can only move one state at a time. States must share a common geographic border. Any 2004 Cannonball Run participant that skips a state (intentionally or not) MUST move back to the last consecutive state that it was in (not necessarily the same cache) and begin again from there. This rule also holds true for travelbugs that leave the USA into foreign countries.
2) Anyone MAY move any travelbug in the race (note: this is a change from last year’s rules). While we cannot stop interference, we do discourage undo negative interference. (placing someone's bug in a seldom-visited cache in one thing, placing thirty of them in remote mountaintop caches is another!) Owners are encouraged to request help from other geocachers along the way in order to move their bugs faster, rather than attempting to slow down others.
3) First travelbug to the end cache wins! (as in the last race there will be awards for other categories) Determination of the winner(s) is solely the responsibility of the NYGO Board of Directors.
The 2004 Cannonball Run is a cross-country race from the west coast to the east coast of the United States.
The beginning and end caches were kept secret until the start of the race, so for specific information in regard to final destination, visit the 2004 Cannonball Run website at http://www.ny-geocaching.org/cannonballrun/.
