About This Item

Uncle Fred’s Travel-size Tusk

This TB commemorates my Great Uncle Fred Klerekoper, who was a Presbyterian Missionary in Alaska in the 1930s and 40s. He mailed a real Walrus Tusk to my Grandfather in Michigan without any packaging. He simply put the addresses on white medical tape to the Tusk and popped it in the mail. Can you imagine doing that today?

Grabbed this bug while vacation in Virginia Beach area with my buddy who I got hooked on caching after just one find. We thought it would look nice attached to his truck.
