Current Goal

Travel (by hand) from Girl Scout to Girl Scout and Girl Guide to Girl Guide spreading friendship. Please don't leave her in any Geocaches, just check her in and then check her right back out for mileage but only hand her off to another Geocacher who is a Girl Scout or who promises to carry her on to her next Girl Scout gathering or meeting. She is too important to leave her sitting around without company. Daisy Still Needs to Visit a Geocache in: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

About This Item

Daisy Friendship Stick is a Girl Scout Friendship Stick named in honor of Juliette Gordon Low. Daisy was released somewhere along the Gulf Coast by Girl Scout Troop 76 of Pace, Florida. Since she was found in a Geocache on the shore of Perdido Bay, she has been traveling Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky but has been too busy to write any post cards or letters back to the troop. Now that she has a web page as a travel bug, she can document her travels so that Girl Scouts and Girl Guides with internet access can keep track of her adventures. Daisy Has Already Visited Geocaches in: Alabama, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

In a daring predawn rescue, girlscoutleader rappeled down the scree field of a dangerous avalanche to pluck stranded travel bug, Daisy Friendship Stick from her dangerous situation in the closet near the kitchen where she was stranded! For months on end, Daisy was bravely practicing her survival training and managed to signal her rescuers with a makeshift signal flag she knitted from materials she found in the wild and seldom visited closet. For her conspicuous bravery in the face of the grave peril of back closet avalanche, the New Holland Search and Rescue Society awards Girl Scout Leader and Geocacher, girlscoutleader, the Cross of St. Bernard. Kudos and thanks to this brave and selfless Geocacher for bringing this stranded travel bug back in from the cold!
