8 nation First Finder Geocoin

Bought a couple of these coins to use as FTF reward for a new cache. It is intended to honor the Native Americans as the original First Finders. Our super friends NoCache-NoCredit told us they are using their 100 Finds Achieviement Geocoin as a personal travel bug. We thought it was a great idea and decided to keep one of the coins as our personal TB to go on all of our cache hunts. Thanks for the idea NCNC!

Took the Korean Memorial coin to the Memorial at Oak Ridge and two caches were on the way home. Hadn’t planned ahead so only had the Droid, good thing there weren’t too many hiding spots cuz it doesn’t zero in like the GPSr.

Geo-Thursday. New forecast, no rain. Caching from Pawnee south to Raymond. Got 18, 16 of them were micros and nanos, but this cache was my favorite. Thought I would have a DNF but Mrs. G came to the rescue and found the key holder on the big gun. Only 213 to go.

OK so it’s not Thursday, but the boomers are predicted for the rest of the week, plus Tuesday is even worse than Thursday. Caching the West side of Sangchris Lake after dropping Brent off. Found nine before the rains came and NO DNF!! Yippee.

Geo-Thursday number 1 🙂 Trying to finish the Eastern sweep to started with NCNC on Monday before the rains came. Had one DNF do to flooding and one just regular DNF. Had hoped for more but got 7 before this one wore me out big time-bad choice turned a 1.5 terrain into a 3 or more. 7, gee... only 231 to go.

In Ohio for Stephanie’s graduation. Very cold for the general ceremony in the football stadium (we wimped out) but much nicer inside for the College of Arts and Science in the evening. Did a little caching without a lot of luck - 3 finds and 3 DNF.
