This is our personal Geocoin to track our miles and keep notes on caches we visit.
Bought a couple of these coins to use as FTF reward for a new cache. It is intended to honor the Native Americans as the original First Finders. Our super friends NoCache-NoCredit told us they are using their 100 Finds Achieviement Geocoin as a personal travel bug. We thought it was a great idea and decided to keep one of the coins as our personal TB to go on all of our cache hunts. Thanks for the idea NCNC!

Didn’t drop the coin in the cache because it is a nano and a TB could have drawn attention. GC1C8Q0 I was bugged about the puzzle cache cuz the puzzle was too simple to mess up. Re-solved the puzzle and sure enough I had the right answer. Read some of the old logs and low and behold the coordinates are off a bunch. Should have known this hider has terrible coordinates. Came back today after Sally’s Dr appointment, left the GPSr in the car and walked right to the cache. In his defense if I would have had my common sense thinking cap on I would have found it Friday, PDAs don’t give the full cache name.

Weather was perfect today. We started today with a visit to the Lincoln home. Bicentennial events continue. Listened to a lecture, saw Illinois artisans and heard the Lincoln Troubadours – nice time. Had laid out 14 caches on a swing through Northern Spfld. Didn’t get caching until 3:00 so we tried for 10 before supper. 6 finds - 1 we passed on at the fairgrounds in the middle of a livestock show – 1 puzzle where my solution was in someone’s back yard and 2 DNF. Had hoped for better. Maybe tomorrow but thunderstorms are looming. At one spot we saw chuck’s relatives – a whole family of chucks made us smile.

A break in the 100+ heat index today so we ventured out to get a few of the newer closer ones. Mrs. G rode along to do the “paper work.” Still can’t get comfortable with those Spirit Quest caches.

Yesterday Mrs. G and I were feeling a little bored at being house bound for so long, then I saw CIGA was having a picnic today. Mrs. G felt up to a drive and some time outside so we decided to go. I only picked up 4 caches but it was fun to see some of the “oldtimers” and to meet the CIGA newest member (picture attached). On the way home we wondered out loud if it might be possible to meet up with NCNC somewhere to a long weekend, maybe July 4th or a weekend soon after.

After our visit with NCNC I was surprised to see how close I was to 700. Decided to try for it before Mrs. G’s surgery. So today we grabbed the nine we needed. Mrs. G rode along to do the PDA work and multi computations.
