Katey's Kiva Bug

When you find this bug we ask that you please go to www.Kiva.org and make a $25 micro-loan to help alleviate poverty by funding small businesses. The Longwood Lizards( the owners of this bug) have loaned over $200 and every penny has been payed back!!! It's truly amazing to loan money to a small entrepreneur in a foreign country and watch the loan get paid back.

When you make a donation please first join Katey's Kiva Team so that all the geocachers donations can be on one team!  All you have to do to join is go to http://www.kiva.org/team/kateys_kiva_team?default_team=kateys_kiva_team. Then click on "Join Team" and you're part of the team. 

The money is still yours when the loan gets paid back. The loans are in your name, you own the money, but the team gets credit for all the loans made. This way we can track how many loans this travel bug generated. If you join my lending team, we can work together to alleviate poverty. Once you're a part of the team, you can choose to have a future loan on Kiva "count" towards our team's impact. The loan is still yours, and repayments still come to you - but you can also choose to have the loan show up in our team's collective portfolio, so our team's overall impact will grow!
