Hallo,

ich heiße Tom und habe einen großen Wunsch. Ich möchte so gerne mal die Landschaft oberhalb des nördlichen Polarkreises sehen. Und das kam so…

Seit vielen Jahren arbeite ich als Tierpfleger im Zoo. Die letzten Jahre war ich bei den Eisbären im Arktisgehege und da habe ich mich mit der Zeit mit der Eisbärin Nanuq angefreundet. Sie und ihr kleiner Sohn Kap haben mir viel von ihrer Heimat im Norden erzählt und so ist in mir die Sehnsucht gewachsen, diesen Teil der Erde einmal zu bereisen.

Deshalb helft mir bitte und nehmt mich mit auf dem Weg zum Polarkreis. Wenn ich dort gewesen bin, möchte ich gerne wieder zurück zum Zoo Hannover, damit ich meine Reisegeschichten mit den zwei Eisbären teilen kann.

My name is Tom and I have a great desire. I want to see the landscape above the Arctic Circle. And this is my story ...

For many years I have worked as a zookeeper at the zoo. The last years I was with the polar bears in the Arctic enclosure and the polar bear Nanuq became a close friend. She and her little son Kap told me much of their homeland in the north and so the longing in me grew to tour this part of the earth again.

So please help me and take me to the Arctic Circle. After I have been there, I would like to return to Hannover Zoo, so I can share my travel stories with the two polar bears.
