    Sorry for hanging onto this a bit long, some urgent matters kept me from caching most of the past month. Dropped off in this cache which is just across the street from the former site of [url=http://www.nps.gov/cwdw/bayard.htm]Fort Bayard[/url], one of the ring of forts forming a defensive ring around Washington, DC during the Civil War.

    Picked up this coin along with several others from this cache. Too many coins in one cache makes me nervous. I'll move it along to another cache in the Washington, DC area soon.

    Stopped by to visit an area that had been used to support the District of Columbia's trolley system. There's not much evidence left, other than some earthworks.
