Current Goal

When I saw this beautiful acoustic guitar geocoin on the Landsharkz website I just knew I had to have it because it reminded me of my dad.

My dad's guitar was a Gibson, very similar to this one. He loved to play and sing for us when we were kids, and of course we tried to join right in. My dad passed away in 1966, and his guitar was stored in the attic. When I was a teenager I discovered his guitar and decided to teach myself how to play. I tuned it by using one of his old guitar books which I found inside the guitar case, and our piano.

I played for many years and really enjoyed it. I was never as good as my dad, but I don't think that was the important part. The fact that I had the chance to make music with his guitar is definitely a very fond memory.
