Andy's Thanksgiving 2016 Travel Bug

To Live Life to the Fullest and for the Hitchhiker attached to this Travel Bug to spread my thanksgiving message while traveling the world and visiting every continent!!

I released my Thanksgiving TB as part of our 2016 Family Thanksgiving celebration at our Family Cottage in Groom Creek, Arizona!!   In addition to mine, Wifey Geo-Aimee, Son Geo-Sam, Mother-in-Law Cathy, aka Geo-Grammie, Father-in-Law Dave, aka Geo-PopPop, Sister-in-Law Geo-Ginee, Brother-in-Law Geo-Gary, Nieces Geo-Gabby and Geo-Sophie, and Nephew Geo-Jack, also released one!!

This Travel Bug is starting its journey with one Hitchhiker carrying Andy's Grateful Message for Thanksgiving 2016.

They were initially set free by Andy Swanson in the forest near Prescott, AZ, who wants to see them move from cache to cache spreading his thanksgiving message while traveling the world and visiting every continent!!

The Travel Bug is made of aluminum and measures just under 1" x 2".  The Grateful Message is contained in a 1.5" x 3" flat plastic holder.  They should fit nicely in regular size cache containers.  They are connected by a 6" chain and would love to have other Hitchhikers join them.

9/2/22 UPDATE - ORIGINAL BACK IN CIRCULATION.  THE PROXY HAD TRAVELED ABOUT 1,546 MILES BEFORE IT BECAME INACTIVE AFTER BEING PLACED IN A CACHE ON 5/12/22 IN DEMING, NEW MEXICO.  WILL PULL IT FROM CIRCULATION WHEN IT BECOMES ACTIVE AGAIN.

RE-RELEASED AS A PROXY ON 3/16/21 AFTER BEING INACTIVE FOR OVER 2.5 YEARS.  IT HAD TRAVELED 4,490 MILES WHEN IT BECAME INACTIVE IN THE HANDS OF A GEOCACHER AFTER VISITING A CACHE IN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH.
