Noch in den zwanziger Jahren des vorigen Jahrhunderts, verkauften die Bauern aus dem Kölner Vorort Poll ihre Produkte in der Stadt. Die Waren wurden vorwiegend von Frauen, mit Karren von Eseln gezogen, transportiert und angeboten. Die "Poller Milchmädchen" und ihre Tiere waren (und sind im Kölner Karneval heutzutage immer noch) stadtbekannt.

Even in the twenties of the last century the farmer of Poll, a suburb of Cologne sold their products in the city. The goods (carried by carts pulled by donkeys) were chiefly offered by women. These "Poller Milchmädchen" ("milk maids of Poll") and their animals were well-known (and in these days they still do so during "Kölner Carneval").

Mein Name ist Esolus. Heute geht es uns Eseln weitaus besser. Meine Freundin Eseletta und ich, möchten gerne etwas von der weiten Welt sehen und bitten alle Geocacher um Mithilfe bei diesem Vorhaben. Bringt uns dorthin wo es andere Tiere gibt und lasst uns deren Bekanntschaft machen. Ganz besonders würde es uns freuen wenn es auch ein paar Fotos davon gäbe.

Eseletta startet Anfang Januar in unserm "Stall" dem Cache > Poller Milchesel <, ich selbst starte auf der Insel Teneriffa im Cache > Cold Fire < .

My name is Esolus. Nowadays life is much better for donkeys like us. My girlfriend Eseletta (TB15C3E) and I, we would like to see something of the big, big world, and we ask every cacher to help us. Take us to places, where we can meet other animals. And how nice it would be if you could take some pictures!

Eseletta starts during january in 2007 in our stable, the cache "Poller Milchesel" (GCRJ8E). And me, I am starting on the island of Tenerife with the cache "Cold Fire" (GCT37E).
