About This Item

At home before its travels !

This is a red toy UK fire engine from the early part of the 20th century. It is a 1988 reproduction of an earlier Matchbox model from the early 1960's. It has been very well looked after by me for many years but it is now time for it to travel about and has some fun !

Retrieved from Gascoigne Express to move it on as it had been there for over 2 months and is at risk of spending the winter there! Very nicely preserved replica (I had one of the original ones!). We may not get a photo with a fire appliance, but we will ensure it moves on to another cache. ~zelger~

Today I placed this travel bug in its first location at the Gascoigne Express GCHD40. I first took a picture of it at Morley fire station in front of the 2701 appliance. Look carefully, its on the bumper/fender.
